Crispy Air-Fried Chicken Thighs

Crispy Air-Fried Chicken Thighs

I absolutely LOVE my air fryer and use it at least once per day. It is the perfect way to enjoy crispy protein without adding a ton of fat. So, if you love crispy, crunchy skin with juicy succulent chicken (an minimal effort), this is the recipe for you!

First, I cleaned four bone-in chicken thighs and patted them dry. Then, I seasoned them with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. You can totally get creative here and add some of your favorite seasonings to make this your own. Once these were seasoned and the seasoning was rubbed into the skin, I sprayed both sides of the chicken liberally with olive oil spray and placed them skin side down in my air fryer.

I cooked these on 390 for 12 minutes, flipped them and cooked them for an additional 10 minutes. I do like my skin extra crispy so once the 10 minutes were up, I cranked the temperature up to 400 and cooked for an additional 5 minutes. You can skip this step or add more time depending on how crispy you like your chicken.

These are so good, y’all! Super simple, super crispy and super delicious! Crispy on the outside, but still juicy on the inside. It’s chicken perfection if you ask me! If it is totally normal for you to ask for your wings ‘fried twice’ at your favorite wing joint, this is the recipe for you!

These would be perfect paired with some veggies or a salad if you are watching your carbs. Or, if this is a cheat day, you can have it with some roasted potatoes and corn. Either way, this is a winner and something you can definitely add to your arsenal of easy and delicious weeknight meals!

Ingredients:

4 bone-in chicken thighs

oil spray

seasoning of your choice

Directions:

Clean your thighs and pat them dry. Then, season them to taste with your favorite seasonings and rub the seasonings into the skin of the chicken. Spray both sides of the thighs liberally with olive oil spray and place them skin side down in your air fryer. Air fry thighs at 390 for 12 minutes, flip and fry for an additional 10 minutes. For crispier skin, crank air fryer up to 400 and cook an additional 5 minutes. Enjoy!
